Persistence of vision

persistence of vision is a way that still images have a way of tricking the human mind by viewing the moving image in a certain way and when this happens it makes the still image look is like it moves for example there is a device called the zoetrope. the zoetrope is a hollow tube with slits in which the images fix to the insides of the zoetrope to make the image move when you spin it.

this is a still image of a zoetrope i will also be looking on the internet for a moving video form so that you can witness your self of the moving still image.

norman mclaren was a scottish born Canadian on the 11th april 1914 and he passed away on the 27th january 1987.

stop motion animation.

In our animation lesson we were told to create a pixilation stop motion animation so we got tom to sit on the floor and pretend like he was rowing a boat through the floor the he did a 360 degree turn then he jumped up and started doing a little dance we had to get tom to move little bits at a time as we clicked and took the image after he moved very slowly and we played it back and it looks like he is moving.

we used a method called pixillation, pixillation is a method of animation were people are used in stop motion animation, this happens by taking plenty off still images and playing them all together to making a moving image animation.

when we had done the animation we uploaded the animation to www.youtube.com. this didn't take long at all the we clicked the share button and took the embed code and put the embed code into each of our blogs.

we  created our stop motion animation in i stop-motion on the mac computer, the sise was 67mb and 12 frames per second. we used the file format dv pal 16:9
